The Chat room is now working well, and ready for those of you who use it to chat to your nearest and dearest overseas.

With the assistance of a lady in Australia, I have been able to update and improve the Census section of the website. The details in the 1841 and 1861 censuses are fascinating!

The painful subject of adverts quite often raises its head. Contrary to popular belief, the internet is NOT free! The web-site is a totally volunteer effort, but hosting and so on has to be paid for. We would therefore encourage you to place your orders for books, DVDs and so on, from one of the links on this website. Similarly other sponsored links benefit thurlaston.org.uk. Revenue received to date still falls far short of costs.
